and then have him save my life.

I don't want to meet him once
and then have him fight rose bushes and dragons for me.
I don't want to be the Little Mermaid.
I don't want him to fall in love in three days
and change my entire life for him.
I don't want to be Beauty.
I don't want to live in his house
and have him change everything for me.
I don't want to be Rapunzel.
I don't want to be rescued
and have him risk his life for me.
I don't want to be the perfect princess story.
I'm just fine with having a happy ending
any happy ending
just so long as its happy.
