At peace I am with the widow brook running
The trees are lively with the nature I possess
The skies as blue as any other day
The shadows made of light can never betray
At peace I am as I watch the plants grow
The animals run freely
The wind travel quietly
My love whisper softly
At peace I am as I stand near the brook
Hand in hand with my love
Never to break apart
Mending a broken heart
At peace I am as my love holds me close
As he lays his head on mine
As he places a hand over my heart
As he tells me never to part
At peace I no longer am as my dream fades away
I see my love is no more
I feel no breeze or hear no whisper in the winds
As I look at the brook alone, and I can only cringe
