Abilities: She is a professional dancer who, though human, comes from a people who evolved from a different direct ancestor. Able to heal quickly, she is faster and more agile than humans, but not at all stronger. She has deadly skill with a knife and pinpoint accuracy with a bow though only at closer ranges. She does not prefer this weapon.
Weapons: a knife she takes with her everywhere. It is very small but just long enough to be able to cause fatal damage.
Personality: Avulira is a bit of an abrasive person who is not afraid to speak her mind, and loudly, if needed. As she is easily roused into anger, she can also have a foul mouth - something she picked up after dealing with such men she is often around - and she will try and take control of whatever she can. Which is little considering she is a slave. However, she also has a tendency to be easily startled. There is only one man she is truly fearful of and that is her master. Witty and cunning, she has a flirtatious nature and question morality.
Scars/Birthmarks/Tattoos: Beneath her right elbow is a scar that belongs to a slender knife blade (vertical). She has no birthmarks. Tattoos: Blue tiger-stripe tattoos covering her arms, legs, face, and sides ; two dark blue stripes beneath her right eye and one beneath her left.
Jewelry: Changes periodically: Usual outfit: five earrings in her right ear: two hoops at the top and a single at the bottom that dangles into a tear-drop shaped, dark-blue stone (like on her necklace), two silver studs above the largest. In the left ear are two silver studs where the silver hoops are on the right ; on each wrist and ankle are also a number of bangles with bells; and a necklace that is always around her neck, a simple, thin black cord strung with the same, teardrop-shaped stone with two smaller blue beads strung on either side of it. Her Dancing outfit is more elaborate, covered in beads which is paired with bracelets, anklets, and large hoop earrings. She also has a small piercing in her lower lip.
Clothing: Usual outfit: mostly naked except for a white wrap that is wrapped loosely over her hips and over her white undergarment. Sometimes she wears a similar, simple white wrap around her left shoulder and beneath the right arm. It is a thinner material and loose to still allow her motion. She is almost always barefoot. Her Dancing outfit is lose draping fabric, silver metal bracelets, anklets, necklace (that is attached to her wrists by airy fabric) that beads and bells dangle from. She also goes barefoot like this.
Personal belongings: Nothing except her knife. All else belongs to her master.
History: At one point in history the Tiendan and humans had been one species. But when the homeland of the Tiendan sank into the sea due to volcanic activity, the people were isolated on an island away from the mainland. The Tiendan became a seafaring race before disappearing completely. By the time the Tiendan returned, they could still be considered recognizably human yet somewhat distinct from the rest of humanity. The race remained largely isolated from the world as they had been discovered by accident by a ship thrown off course. They are not fond of outsiders and little to nothing is know about their culture.
Berny, whose true name she doesn't reveal, had left her homeland by force after a raid on her village when she was a child. She grew up with only her memories of her people and culture and had many masters after being sold into slavery. She now belongs to one named Josif Severi, a humanoid of the faerie family known as the Sudel. He was the one who gave Berny a name and is also a traveling merchant and sword-for-hire who has her dance for extra money.
