Dear Haiku,
It is such an unusually cold Summer morning. The wind cradles my body and sends icy chill through my brones. I wake up to the majestic sun, and the kiss on the cheek from a familiar loving presence. It is in this moment, that I know that I am okay. The battle is not over, my trials are still raging onward. But I am filled with unwaivering faith. Hope bleeds through my veins. I raise my hands to the heavens and I shout and rejoice! The shackles have been removed from my feet. I greet the morning with an intimate kiss, it embraces me from the inside, and I feel grace wash over me. Today is truly a day of celebration. No time for sadness or sorrow. What burdens still plague me will be nothing but a brief after thought. I dance, clap my hands, and I sing GOD's praises. It's in ITS love that I am the most free. It is GOD's mercy that feels my spirit with so much joy. GOD takes me as I am. When others have left, abused, used, or cursed me, GOD's love has delivered me from such disaster. I feel more alive than I ever have. Mistake me not for a religious person.... what I speak of is true happiness. Religion preaches separatism and prejudice. Love like this has no prejudice, no price, no loophole.. it's simply love... and that love lives inside of me.. and inside of you. Embrace it. Let it embrace you. Love has no clauses or buts.... love is absolute. I feel a newness. A oneness..... I want to hold on to this moment forever. There is light at the end of the tunnel..... No matter how hopeless you feel your situation.... do not give up. Hold on to that tiny light inside of you. Hold it with both hands near your heart, Let it in... feel it's warmth flutter inside of your chest like that of the rapid wings of a butterfly. Be overcome by the joy of that love you feel... and return it... and watch that light grow and intensify...hold onto it... and it will be your guiding star. Leading you down the road of something real, something amazing......something tangible. No lonliness will ever invade your life again. Light is eternal, it goes on forever.. and can pierce through any darkness.I offer you a piece of my light.... may it fill you with eternal sunshine.. even on the coldest day of summer.
