Tuesday. Big update. 1.10 patch has finally arrived, hurrah for Priests!
I had to play the game upstairs, on my brother's computer, and everything worked perfectly 3nodding Unfortunately, it was about 6 hours after the scheduled maintenance was supposed to end stare Anyway, I got to play for about 2-3 hours before my craving for Oblivion set in. By the time I finished, I was beat and went straight to bed. That and my other brother was on the regular computer and I couldn't get on WoW for one last time for the day xd
Next day, wake up, turn on the computer and make some coffee. Read up on SoS, nothing too important for me to stick my nose into so I jump into WoW. Immediately, something is wrong stare The sound! She is broken! eek Music was fine but sound effects and voices were all so faint. Being a nerd, this really bothered me. The ambience, sound effects and music really immersed me into the game and without it...it just wasn't the same I check out the official WoW site in both the Technical Difficulties forum and FAQ to see if I could fix it there. Tried every suggested fix and still no go. I even check to see if my drivers were updated. Yep, they were. Everything should be working fine but it wasn't...which is why, for those I play the game with, they kept seeing me log on and off xp
So I try the Blizzard Repair tool hoping that finally the sound will start working again! whee Repair finished, game loaded, same thing! gonk I seriously begin thinking that we need a new sound card 'cuz even my regular music was starting to sound off. I know, I tested it on Queen - Another One Bites The Dust (my unofficial PvP song xd ) and the bass in the song just wasn't there sad I gave it one last try, to find the sound I've been looking for the whole day cry
The cord in the back for my speakers wasn't fully inserted...

Because Horvax's and my computers are so close together, his speakers usually drown out mine so when any character tells a joke/emote in game, I rarely hear what they're saying. I only recently started turning up the volume on my speakers to combat his sound... I think I have one of the in game volume settings cranked to the max so I could hear dialouge
I do find that some npc's do talk a lot quieter than others though xp Very annoying since ever since WCII I've been an avid fan of clicking on the characters to see what they say xd
Too bad critters don't blow up anymore when you continuously click on them though sad
