a few seconds more and I hear that beep.
Oh well, I'll actually leave a message this time.
"Hey, just called to talk, but you are obviously busy."
~I miss you~
"I'm sorry I'm always bothering you."
~I miss you~
"Every day, calling over nothing"
~I miss you~
"You've got more important things to do than be bothered by me all the time. I'll stop calling you from now on, so as not to annoy you."
~I MISS YOU~
"Ah, what's this?"
A hot drop of salt poison drops from my eye.
"I'm sorry, I'm such an idiot, crying like this."
My throat tightens and more fall down.
"I'm always a bother, this will be the last time, I swear. I'm sor-"
My voice broke but that is not what silenced me.
Heavenly arms and hot wet lips found me.
When the lips release mine, before I could catch my breath, they hissed into the phone
~"If you ever let her cry again, I'll kill you myself!"~
And then he hung up the phone
He continued to hold me as I stared blankly into nothing
The he glared at me
I cringe.
"How could you think that?!" "but..."
"You are not a bother! Still after all this time,
You still think that?! Damn it!
Don't you ever stop bothering me!
I won't allow you to stop! You got that?!"
He stared at me as i loked down, embarrassed.
Then he pulled me to him, close against his chest.
"I love you, so please don't say you'll go away!
I'd die without you! Please."
He whimpered that last word into my hair.
I blinked and then held him to me
"I'm sorry. I just love you so much."
It seems to good to be true.
"But it is true!"
"I know now and if you want me to stay, I will.
I'll bother you for the rest of your life."
I laughed. So did he.
He stood me up and held me and said
"You better." It was stern but joking.
"i love you"
He sighed into my hair.
"Thank you. I love you too."
Inwardly I thought, More than my own life.
