Well today is going to be a nice quiet Sunday which is exactly what I need. There was something that was supposed to happen yesterday which I purposely left out of yesterday's journal. That was that the rapture was supposed to happen according to some man named Harold Camping. He is an American Christian radio broadcaster who left the Alameda Bible Fellowship in 1988 and claimed that year was significant in the events preceding the apocalypse. He was immediately criticized for date setting because it was the same year he left the Christian Reformed Church. He also wrote a book entitled "1994?" back in 1992. That book stated there is a high possibility the rapture would happen in 1994 but he could be wrong. Nothing significant occurred that year leading anyone to believe his prediction. He also claimed that yesterday the rapture would begin and the world would end on October 21st 2011. We still have 5 months left until his end of the world prediction but his rapture prediction was of course false so any assumptions of October 21st should not be taken seriously because he predicted about 200 million people would be raptured yesterday and as far as I know 200 million people were not taken yesterday. People are now beginning to call him a false prophet and that his entire method of Bible interpretation is flawed. If he were the devout Christian he claims to be he would know that Jesus taught that no man knows the day or the hour of the Lord's return. Critics of Harold Camping have even claimed that his group Family Radio could be a cult. My friend's family are very devout Christians and even they joked about his bold predictions and my friend's Aunt who reads the bible and goes to church every Sunday and does many things involving their faith to help them said the rapture would come like a thief in the night and no one would know when it happens or have the slightest clue. I'm still here and so is everyone I know. I'll admit I saw a lot of police,ambulance and firetrucks and there were some people who almost crashed into my friend and I yesterday so there were times of brief chaos but that could have clearly been caused by anything or just pure coincidence. The point is no mortal can predict the end of days and any assumptions of such are not to be taken seriously so live your life day by day as you normally would and don't let anyone trick you into believing things along that nature because no human can make such a prediction.
