i shifted uncomfortabley, more from their eyes then from the pain.

"where did you come from," Neesha asked me. She seemed the more curious of the three.

"It depends... where am i now," I choked, my throat was sore and made it hard to talk.

"you are in the caves of Demmerin," The man on Neesha's left replied shortly giving no more information.

"then I am far off from where I started." I said rubbing at my throat, "I came from Myak,"

"Myak!" Neesha exclaimed, backing away, "Dovan, she's a Myand!!"

"Don't worry Neesh," the one called Dovan replied calmly.

"DON'T WORRY!!" The smaller man snapped angrily, "She'll be the death of us all!,"

"I don't think she means us any harm Tevashi," Dovan said the calm still in his voice, he turned to me, "Do you?"

"No," I said, 'they must be Shendi,' I thought growning more nervous.

If they found out who I was for real, it would be like caged dogs being aloud to let loose on the hand that beat them.

"What is your name?" Dovan demanded of me.

"Araiya," I lied, I had too.

"well Araiya, your garb though a bit trashed seems to scream high class, where do you work,"

"The palace," I didn't lie here. There was no point. I knew they would recognize the crest on my shirt immediately as a palace crest, though I hoped they wouldn't recognize my family's colors.

"the palace eh," Tevashi asked glaring at me, "so you would know the royal family? The Wretch Queen Ala and her horrid daughter Princess Danyana?"

I flinched as he said my name, luckily they seemed to take this as a sign that I was in fact working for them, or me, and that I was beaten often, for Tevashi his glare faded in to a smirk.

"So what did you do, not make the princess's bed right? accidently drop one of her trinkets? Or did you make a bigger boo boo?" Tevashi said vicously.

"That's enough Tevashi," Dovan snapped.

If i hadn't been so scared I might have said it myself, though I don't think it would have had the same effect. Tevashi's mouth closed and he back up two steps though his face held the same anger.

My anger must have shown in my face because Neesha spoke next in a small sad tone, "you were a supporter of the Queen and her daughter... weren't you."

I felt my anger fade as I looked into the young girls face, "I-I am not a supporter of the queen, I just follow orders." I said. This was also the truth. Any orders given concerning the Shendi were given by my mother, not me. I had no control, I wasn't even able to pick out my clothes for the day, or for that matter, stay in the same clothes for more then 2 hours.
