Finding Love
When you're in love you'll know it,
Like a gentle summer breeze
You could be expecting it
It could knock you to your knees
Your heart may pound inside your chest
Tears may fall down your face
It could happen anywhere
Just don't be too late
Some may never find it
And will quickly give up the dream
Others that have thought it was there
Soon see they've been decieved

A Friend I Never Knew
We met on a beautiful sun warmed day
I was immediately blown away by your smile
Your eyes were oh so tender
Your kind words made my heartbeat pound
Your voice spoke to my soul in so many unimaginable ways
Your temperment was so soothing and calm
I liked the way you talked to me
Although we didn't really speak of much
It was nice none the same.
I was hoping we'd be able to meet and know one another better.
But soon you'll be out of touch
Not out of mind, but out of my grasp.
I'll miss just seeing you across the way
And the way you smell when we hug.
But no matter where you go my friend,
I wish you happiness and true love.

Remembrance
The day you left the world seemed cold
I wanted to cry, but I couldn't
Remembering your face was hard for me
I wanted to break down
The talk we had the last time we met
Plays on and on in my head
It hasn't been long since you were gone from me
It was the last time I slept well in my bed
I would have at least have gotten a chance to know
Wether we'd be classic friends
Or how far we could go
Although you're gone and my heart is bruised
I know this makes you happy
And that I don't ever want you to lose.
So I bid you farewell my friend
And you be blessed in all you do
But before I say goodbye
Know I'll always be thinking of you.
Your Smile
I saw you from across the room
Just the sight of you made me smile
You were laughing with some of your friends
I keep that image in my mind
I sat watching from my lonely spot
When I suddenly caught your eye
You smiled and my heart sped up
I love to see you smile
It warms the room like the morning sun
Like a candle in the dark, it burns away all pain
It takes all the storminess and turns it crystal clear
I stood there as if in a trance as you stood there smiling
I was tempted to come over to say hi and ask about your day.
Before I had the chance, I found that you were heading my way
At that moment it was as if all time had stopped.
I felt like I couldn't breathe.
When you had me in your arms I felt complete
Looking up into your eyes I saw the love deep within.
As we walked off together.
I couldn't help, but smile.
All of these were inspired by a beautiful soul named Francisco Garcia. He left for the army last week and although we barely met our souls are still connected.
