I know this song isn't exactly new but when I heard it, I thought of myself. I know that sounds kinda egotistical but, that's how I felt. I used to have so many friends, I couldn't number them. I was one of the most popular kids I knew. I had a loving family.
But now, i watch the world and my life slipping before me. A world a once knew and loved is dying. A family I once cared for is falling apart. It feels like it's the end of the world, but with death comes life. I just know that one day, something will happen to set us all free. Truly free. Not this false illusion we've all been taught is freedom, but true, unrestricted freedom. Freedom for one and freedom for all so that we may live life the way it was meant to be lived.
I don't think I'll ever see this in my life time, I would be happy if I did, but I truly doubt it. But maybe one day, people will realize that they have enslaved themselves. Maybe they will learn to think for themselves again and raise up off of their knees.
Democracy.. more like Democrazy.. It's just another name for Monarchy. We all work to live and live to work. We all live our lives but never even wonder what it's all for. the few of us who wander the streets of gray rather than white or black know. We all know what true life is - but there is so few of us. Or at least, that's how I feel. It just seems that there are more people out there that think it's one thing or another. I've not met so many people who believe in a middle option.
Why does the thief steal? Does he do it for fun? Does he do it for his family? What is right? What is wrong? Do we really even know anymore? Are any of these rules that we've made even worth anything anymore? Do they even apply? Should they? I just feel like people live life and never even wonder anymore. Like sheep - they just graze and turn in for a hard days nothing. The only reason why they come back is because that's what they know as their home. But I know and I know that a few of you out there know, that Home is where the Heart is.
