Take this knife out of my chest, I can't bear to feel these tears fall from my eyes like the rain that falls from the sky, I gave you my heart you gave me your promises, I gave you my love you gave me this pain that refuses to take its leave, now I feel like a dog waiting for someone to take him in but I know that unlike that dog you'll never come back, never repair this broken heart that you so dropped without a moment's thought, and you'll never be here to help me pick up the pieces but you will be here to watch me as I put this shattered heart back together with quivering lips, unsteady hands, and a shattered soul as these tears begin to form a puddle that will soon turn into an ocean of regret, filled with boats carrying nothing but the sorrow that will soon replace the blood pumping through my veins.
