I've decided to run for class dictator for next year because my class is to immature to handle democracy. Honestly though, they don't get it. See we had to make these stupid class t-shirts that no one wears anyway and to avoid the world of unsuccessful class voting we decided a t-shirt committee was appropriate. Our entire class voted on that and we created the t-shirt committee which was acutally composed of our class president and some other bystanders who could not say anything that would be absorbed, but that's beside the point. Anyway, we chose a design out of our few choices because the class did not turn in their ideas when we asked for them. The design was a simple quote from Charles Dickens, the ever famous words, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." We decided this quote would be appropriate because we read A Tale of Two Cities this year and the quote also adequetly described our school year thus far. Now here's the funny part. Our class president announced the idea to the class and all of hell broke loose. We fell back into the unsuccessful debates over the t-shirts and how the design was stupid and all that exciting stuff. People began to write on the board their ideas. Yes! They had ideas! But did they submit them when they were asked, when the committee cared? No, they did not. So I have concluded that my class should not be run under anything else, but a dictatorship. They simply do not understand what voting and then actually following through with the idea is. They must've though that by voting for the committee to design the t-shirts meant that the committee wouldn't really happen and that everyone could design their very own damn t-shirt.
