A writing instructor once told me to write at minimum 200 words a day. I think about what I did yesterday: dishes, went on Gaia, played Tales of Vesperia, cleaned the garage...and I wrote a to-do list for today. Vacuum and shampoo the carpet, fill out job applications, clean my room....needless to say writing isn't on that list. I went to college for five years at Northern Michigan University, where I studied Literature and Writing. I didn't graduate, and for personal reasons I'm taking a break. During that break, I want to remain intellectually active and maybe I'll finish those Incompletes I have from previous semesters. This is not a professional journal, though, so I will talk about other things as well, like cooking, video games I'm playing, art I might be creating, things I'm doing, anxious bus-ride jottings, weird dreams, and annotated lists of things found in my purse. At least once a week though, I want to focus on literature, whether it be my own, or comments on something I've read. Gaia is kind of a weird place to do this, I guess. However, it's a way to keep me active. I am on here every day anyway, and who knows who might be interested.
