Sleeping With Skeletons
I’m sleeping with skeleton bones
Will they answer the questions that haunt me at night?
White reminiscence of the past,
They moan a song,
A fairytale for the haunted
United by a speechless vow
“The past is never dead”

Skeletons line your closet, from things left unresolved
I know you hear their cries to you from down the hall
I’m sleeping with skeleton bones
Underneath the tender white flesh
Underneath the muscle and blood
Are the lies we tell ourselves
And now the past and truth has finally come undone
