There is a force that exists in our world,
That overcomes all and is true;
It blooms and flutters, a flag unfurled,
And suddenly, vanishes, too;
It is this force, that drives our race,
That creates, and bonds, and forges;
It matters not, the time or place,
It bridges vast rivers and gorges;
We feel it, around us, we know of its power,
It lives and thrives without lies;
It lives in the heart, its fortress, its tower,
But betrayed, it slowly dies;
So care, we must, for this small, fragile spark,
‘Til it roars into flame to banish the dark.
