Tattered Promises
Blood red skies
As the demons and angels
Cry
Nothing is purified
As tattered wings fall from the sky
Humans from below
Rage as the sun disappears
Among the crying stars
Neither day or night remains
Dull thrumming of footsteps
Calling all attention
The chanting, almost silent
Making the demons and angels scream
Calling to a far more dangerous force
Power only a human could long for
As mother nature tries to protect
Her children, she is only torn through
Left to dissolve in the ashes
Power rising up inside
Sick of watching this darkness
Kicking us around
Like we all are ready to bow down
Mother nature rising up from the ashes
Demons and angels by her side
Fighting (tattered promises) until the
Sun and moon banish the blood red sky.
