Now, this little issue has been bugging me for a while.
Everyone knows about the "I'll Rate Your Avi" threads in the ChatterBox. Now, what gets me is that they will rate your avatar based on hypocritical bases. "I give you 1/10 because you used the overused theme of red and black." What the hell does that have to do with how 'my' avatar looks like? You are basing your judgment on something everyone else claims. Yes, red and black is a popular theme to use and so is the angel theme. Why not rate an avatar based on how well the scheme fits. Not by basing it on theme and what everyone else says?
"7/10, I like how the colours are coordinated and the items fit well but maybe you should try 'this colour' or 'items' to spice it up. I think it might work better, but that's only a suggestion." This is a good example. The person is judging the avatar on what it looks like not the 'overused colour scheme'. Giving out suggestions is a bonus too because then we can take (or not) suggestions into consideration if we want to change on how our avatar looks. Work with us and we shall work with you.
That's it for my rant. =/
