The Kitsune(known in Japanese folklore)are known as shapeshifters and tricksters.Every 1,000 years the Kitsune gains a tail.1,5,7,and 9 tails are the most common.It is rare for them to have 10+ tails.For every tail added the older and wiser they get.Kitsunes can posses but mainly young women.Stories depict them as intelligent beings and as possessing magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom.
