A few connections we made with the original Alice in Wonderland with our Down the Rabbit Hole rpg.

"Who are, YOU?" -- Capterpiller
In the original story he's there to help Alice figure out who she is inside. Though he appears to be little help, he teaches her how to survive in Wonderland.
Our connection: The Alice's have no identity until they steal a person's identity. In this way the Alice gets to choose the appearance they like, which allows them to figure out who they are and what they want out of life.

Crow -- In the story it's a big black bird that stops the duel between Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Our connection: Crow.

Dreams -- In the story, a cat is the source of Alice's dreams of Wonderland.
Our connection: Not only do we have a character nicknamed 'Cat', but Alices are made up of shadows and dreams. Whenever an Alice is being 'born' into the world, it creates a specific( and bizarre) dream or nightmare.
