I figured out something useless today!
I now know why you need to put "an" before any noun begining with a vowel, or sounds like it's beginning with a vowel.
Because "a" is a vowel, so when you put two vowels together, it sounds really messy. Try saying "a apple" or "a umbrella'. You'll find yourself itching to add the "n".
