on thursday, i had THE BEST class trip EVER. ever ever biggrin
we took a bus down to chicago, and first went to the grain exchange.. which was actually fairly okay. it was funny watching grown men jumping and screaming at eachother over a quarter of a cent. rofl
theeen we went to lunch, or more like.. got let loose to go get lunch at a place near the art arena. now um.. the last time they did this, my group caused me endless torture, cuz my one friend was SO PICKY about what she wanted to eat. u_u; gah. so this time, we weren't havin' none of that. she was all "I WANT MEXICAN" and we were just like.. talk2hand you can go search the downtown chicago area on foot for a mexican restaurant YOURSELF.
so anyway, first we tried this one Cosi cafe/sandwich place, cute and trendy and just looked nice.. and my one friend (so sheltered, so catholic) was like "hey guys this looks like a grownup place, let's leave."
..
ROFL. XDDD quote of the DAY, mans~
so we ended up at this "corner bakery" or something and silliness ensued that no one else would enjoy but us. but it was nice. i had tuna and lemonade. biggrin
theeen we went back to the Chicago Art Institute for our TOTALLY FAWESOME TOUR OF FAWESOMENESS~ led by my art teacher. who is amazing. and like.. knows everything. or at least pretends he does. :3 he's a really neat person and i'd been looking forward to this tour for YEARS. (juniors do this every year.) biggrin and yeah.
i took notes because i'm a loser like that. xd <33 and .. just.. art. wow. i mean, i'd been there before, but i just don't get sick of it. i was tired and my feet were killing me, but i wandered around the whoooole time. (we had like.. a 1 hr 45 min tour and then 2 hrs to just WANDER biggrin )
they had Dali. a fair amount of 'em, actually. <3 omg. and lots of Magritte. and the Thorne miniature collection always fascinates me.. and 3 of those paint-drippy things i loved so much at the milwaukee art museum. heart it was great.
so then we went to ESPN Zone for dinner. for those who don't know what that is.. picture THE most american place you can, and that's it. We're talkin' TVs EVERYWHERE (including in every bathroom stall) all playing nasty sports shows like NASCAR and football, ENORMOUS portions (bleh food, too. really.), and reaaally expensive sports video games. meh. the waitress forgot to bring my food at first. <_< and it was.. well, not bad but. eh. brookelyn and I played air hockey (cost like $5, too. wtf), and then found this cool roller coaster simulator ride thing. that was ossum. :B and thennnnnn...
WE WENT TO BLUE MAN GROUP. 4laugh heart and seriously.. i could make an entry JUST about that. it was TOO TOO awesome. But i think i'll skip it for now and just give some highlights:
we had what they call.. "Poncho Seats".
yeah. you know what that means. <3 third row baby~
and the show itself was just.. fascinating. and amazing. so. sosososocool.
afterwards, we got pictures with the blue men, AND they autographed our programs. :3 and i got blue paint on my face. and it was so cool.
then we went home the end~ (aka i'm tired of writing)
