How can I live?
With no dreams,
How can I soar?
With a broken wings,
How can I sigh?
With a broken heart,
How can I love?
With a spirit that is crushed,
Beneath the pressure of all mankind?
How can I breath,
Without you, how can I sleep?
Without knowledge of your existence?
How?

They say depression hurts everyone.
That is so not true.
It hurts only you.
It hurts so deep inside,
So bad all you have to do is cry,
Wanting,
Begging to die.
A black whole swallows you up,
And never releases you,
Holding you 6 feet under,
You breathe in and out,
Every breath feels like your last.
Burning,
Choking,
Hurting you inside.
No one ever sees the symptoms,
Until it has taken over your mind.
Until it’s too late.
You can mask it with a smile,
And you think no one will see,
Because it is shatter proof.
But one little slip,
And your mask is shattered into little pieces.
Once the mask is gone,
There is no cover up.
Your true self is shown,
And you whither away,
Like an old apple,
Left out to dry in the baking sun,
Until there is nothing left.
Except to die.
