[x]Groans escaped from the hundred...no...thousands of shinobi's that lay on the ground that were still breathing. There were more that weren't, but they were happy that they were dead, for now they did not have to fight on this cursed battle field where so many jutsu's had been cast that it now was contaminated with Chakra and random spurts of attacks incinerated anyone that was hit by the unlucky fire of pure Chakra. This had all happened because of war that started out of nothing but greed between two countries. It had started, and the people didn't even know why. It had started, and now, with these dead and wounded laying on the ground, the questions was thrown up by all that could think. Why? Why had it started, and why was it their job to protect something that did not care for them. For them, the answer would forever be lost in a haze of death and uncertainty, but for us, we go back to see what happened. Back to meet those who started this, Back to meet the leaders, and Back to see why all this death has happened. First, let us meet the two main causes of this war...

[x]"Abel, Get the ******** in here!" The voice echoed down the hall and into every room on the upper most floor of the gigantic office that was deemed respectful for a man of his Rank and prestige. This man, the starter of our War, was called by only One title. Otokage. "I said," He started to scream, but before he could continue, a man that was roughly six feet tall walked into the room and stood at attention.
[x]"Lord Otokage-Sama." His voice was soft, but filled with power, and his frame looked to be skinny, but in reality, his sinewy muscles could easily match even the most deadly Taijutsu user. This man, Abel Stryker, was the Captain of SOUND, or the ANBU of Otogakure no Sato. His age was only Sixteen, but his skills surpassed those of even their weak Feudal Lord. And all of this showed when he bowed down to the Otokage, not eve glancing in the direction of the Man that called himself Second in Command just because of all his money. "How may be of Help to you?"
[x]"I'll tell you how you can help me!" The Otokage practically spitted as he stood up knocking over his chair. "You can tell me why we haven't reached a conclusion with Them!
[x]He sighed and then looked up to lock eyes with the Otokage. 'How did I know this was going to be it?' Raising back up, Abel gave a crooked smile and then answered the question. "They have a week," and with that, He turned on heel and walked out of the door, leaving the Otokage to release a malicious laugh that echoed throughout everyone.

[x]Over a Thousand Km away a similar situation was going on, but with this decision lied the fate of the rest of the war...

[x]The man inside of the Kage robe was tall. Too tall for the doors that met him, and definitely too tall for any real clothes to be bought for him. The robe was special fitted, as was the rest of his clothes. He was also extremely skinny and these two looks seemed to make his rank look heavy upon his shoulders today. This man was Amekage and his reign over Amegakure no Sato was one of the greatest, keeping them in peace longer than any one else. But now, with the fiend, the Otokage trying to stir up trouble, He, the Amekage, has some problems to deal with. That was why his most Veteran member of RAIN was here to talk to him. "So, what are we looking at, my dear friend?"
[x]With a frown, the women replied with softness that seemed unable to be created by someone of her rank. "Well, it seems, that this will be the last time that we will be able to meet. Abel is on his way now and it is all come down to this." Her name was JodieThomas and with her short mulit-colored hair, she looked more like she was destined for modeling with her body and figure, than being the second strongest in the Village. But, like usual, looks can be deceiving.
[x]With a sigh, the Amekage stood up and walked over to the window seal, placing his hands on it and muttering to himself. It had been hell, for the Otokage sent over his top man to talk of taking everything that Amegakure no Sato had, and that nothing bad would come to him if he let SOUND come and slaughter his people. Of course, the Otokage did not take denial well and now, it seemed a war would happen just because of prejudice against a simple village. It didn't have anything to do with the people, or even anything that could help either village. This would be just pure war for the sake of violence and as Amekage, he did not want that. "Then we will deny him. Let him attack us...He will meet the Iron grip of Amegakure no Sato and RAIN." Even though he tried to sound confidant, he knew he sounded weaker than he should have.
[x]Jodie did hear the sadness and only nodded for an answer. There was no need for words in a time like this. All that was left now was for Abel to come over and hear their answer.
[x]Suddenly, like a devil, Abel Stryker entered the room without a nod or anything. Walking straight up to the Amekage, he pushed Jodie out of the way and then locked eyes with the extremely tall Kage. "What is your answer. And remember this, the fate of your village depends on it."
[x]Turning to look away from the window, the Amekage looked hurt when he saw Jodie getting up off the floor but quickly regained his stance of power and looked down at Abel with nothing more that Pity in his eyes. "My answer, Abel, will be no. You will not slaughter my people why I am still head of this Village..." his reply was kept monotone and even thought that was the fact, it had a scent of foreshadowing hiding behind the words that none of them would pick up until later.
[x]Now it was Abel's time to act and without another word, he turned on his heel and made his way towards the door. "You know what you started, remember it was you who did it." With that, he slipped out of the door and disappeared in a scream of shadows, leaving Jodie and the Amekage in the room. It would be minutes before either of them moved from the space.

[x]We now see how this war has started, so our next stop in the past will be to move forward to the first fight and determine two very important people on opposite sides.
