Shagami fines two infants (twins) abandoned by a river, not too long after they are born
He is a cook in training. He starts to become better and better while taking care of the twins. They grow up calling him "Mama" Altho he is male. He gets a job in a nobles house where he studies under the head cook there, becoming even better. There the children play with the lords children and they become friends with them
Meanwhile Shagami becomes head chief and starts to make lunches for children for schooling and one day the children give some to the kings Son, in turn he gives to his father. The king then calls the nobles family to have shagami cook for the royal family. Shagami says no that he wants to cook for the family he was with. the king then states that once a week the noble family and shagami will be invited to the castle for dinner, as long as shagami cooks. THe children are invited as well
