I wish

I wish that I was different
I wish I wasn’t so hurtful
I wish that I could tell you
The most important three words

“I love you,”

Things would be different
They won’t be the same

“This is surely true,”

I wish I was a free
Like a bird in the sky
So I can be free from all of Life’s pains
And all its hardship

“I just want to be free,”

Today is where we are
Tomorrow is where we want to be
Together, you and I shall be
What others could only wish

“I wish I wasn’t me,”

This is surely true
The things I would do for you
I would do anything, just to see you smile
Even a wink will make my day

“I wish I could say good-bye,”

I wish that I was different
I wish I wasn’t so hurtful
I wish that I could tell you

“I wish I could say I love you”

Things would be different
They won’t be the same




I wish I was not fearful
I wish I was able to be there
But these are only wishes
Wishes that cant come true
