It spreads.
It courses through my body,
It travels through my veins ,
It continues until it reaches my soul.
Fear.
It keeps us from our goals.
It blocks the way with a fiery wall.
Touch it, you get burned.
If you get through it
You are rewarded with the satisfaction
That you beat the fire.
You conquered your fear.
You survived.
Sadly,
There are times where the fire is too hot.
The fear is too much.
It traps you, it keeps your there in a cage.
Fear is like fire.
It keeps you there until you find a way to get through it.
I'm still trying to find my way
My way out of the fire.
I will survive to say,
"I lived through the fear."
