✤ Luri is a naiad, first introduced in the story after Jackal's violent battle with Cale. Jackal was in dire need of medical assistance, due to his deep and nearly fatal wounds. Luri is abducted and coerced by both Thalia and Feline to heal him, lest she be killed then and there. She manages to heal him successfully, just before Quinn and her friends rescue her.
✤ Luri used to reside in Greece with a whole group of her naiad sisterhood. However, she fled when her sisters started dying, due to the malicious tendencies of humans.
She shielded herself inside her own dimension called Vellitia, held inside the main jewel on the chestpiece on her jacket. She would submit her consciousness into the realm housed inside the gem, leaving her body to be nothing more than an empty shell. However, that dimension was sealed up by Thalia when she was abducted for her abilities. She presently resides with Quinn, Cale, and Olivia; her assigned duty of babysitting Olivia serves as her "rent payment".
✤ However, she is fairly new to a full "Human World experience" (after being isolated with her sisters in rivers and springs), and is therefore not quite sure how to respond to anyone. She is very naive, and is never quite sure how to take a joke.
