He looked up at the girl dangling from the tree. What was wrong with her? Didn't see know to stay away from a Vine trap Tree?

What an idiot...

"N-Nikki-Samma!" Yelled up a girl with short Blond hair. Her powdered, sky blue eyes wet from tears.

"It's her own fault... Shouldn't of climbed a man-eating tree."

"I didn't know it was a man-eating tree, you bloody idiot!" Nikki yelled down at him in a strange accent.

"How did you NOT know that? Its common knowledge!" This girl was getting on his nerves already... but somehow she was calming him down... The storm clouds and winds he was causing were disappearing.

"We are not from around here." said the Blond. She had a weird accent too, but not the same as the other girl's.

Nikki screamed, both the Blond girl and he looked up. The Vine Trap Tree had opened its mouth.

"If you wouldn't mine... Get me the bloody hell down from here!" She yelled down at them.

The boy sighed, why was he about to save that girl?

He drew his sword, and within a few seconds, he had Nikki cut down. He didn't bother to catch her, he just let her fall and hit her head.

"Oww!!" Nikki said, rubbing her head, "Couldn't of caught me?" She gave him a pouty face.

"Nikki-samma!" The blond cried, tackling Nikki with a hug.

"I'm fine Mizu, thanks to.......?" Nikki looked at the boy that just saved her.

"My name is Cloud Storm." He told her, running his fingers through his pink hair.

"Well thanks Cloud... I'm Nikki Black, and this is my friend Mizu Senri."

Mizu blushed at the sound of her name. Cloud guessed that when Nikki wasn't in danger, Mizu was shy.

Suddenly, Nikki was in front of him, only a few inches from his face. She had to stand on her toes to meet him face-to-face. With her that close, he saw how pretty she actually was.

She had blue eyes like ice and her hair was not blond.... but not brown either.... it was somewhere in-between. But she wasn't just pretty, she wasn't a demon... but she couldn't be fully human. She gave off this strange aura.

"Whats that?" she asked, pointing to the royal crest he had to wear.

Should he tell her? He thought. He hated it when people knew he was the prince of the underworld. They treated him like he wasn't a person and had no name. It was like they thought he was nothing but a prince and should only be called that. Also, it didn't help that he hated everything about his family. If someone ever asked he'd call his father and idiot and his mother and sister a b***h, and you did NOT want to get him started with the rest of his family, especially his cousin, Sunny.

"It's the royal crest... I'm the heir to the underworld..." He sighed. Why did he actually tell her and her friend?

Nikki's eyes got wide with. Here it comes he thought, annoyed again.

"You mean your a prince?! Oh my goth! I've always wanted to meet a demon... but a prince too? That's amazing!" she said as she threw her arms around him.

He was surprised by her reaction, he couldn't do anything. He must of been making a shocked face, because Mizu stared giggling.

Slowly, he hugged Nikki back.

"That... That was a new reaction..."

A few months have pasted since Cloud has met Nikki Black and Mizu Senri. He has learned so much about them, its amazing that he can remember every detail, heck it was amazing he even cared about the two.

Nikki is an orphan, she has no clue who she really is or if "Black" is her real last name. She just showed up one day on the orphanage's steps, covered in blood. Because of some trauma, she has a fear of thunderstorms, and clowns for some reason, both of these she really doesn't understand. Cloud only knew about the clown fear because they were at a fair and they saw one. She instantly hid behind him.

Nikki is also one year younger then he is.

Also, she has the most amazing singing voice in his opinion. Now every time he gets mad, she has started to sing to him. It's so weird how she's the only one that can calm him down. He also found out what her weird accent was... its Irish.

Also Mizu got over some of her shyness and told him somethings about her. Mizu's mother is a demon and her father is a vampire. She also has a little sister who is a cat demon. Her little sister didn't surprise him. It was normal to have different types of demons in a family, even if their parents were not the same type as the child.

What did surprise him was Mizu herself. She was 1/5 vampire, 1/5 fairy, and 3/5 angel. No one knows how it happened. She is the only one in her entire family, counting all her ancestors, to have angel in her, let alone so much.

Mizu was always shy around people, mainly around guys. She also could heal any kind of dease or wound.

Mizu was amazing... But no matter what Cloud felt more of a connection with Nikki, and could never stop thinking about her. He didn't know what it was about her... but he always wanted to be with the girl with the mysterious past, Nikki Black.
