I got a call from Red Cross today thanking me for my blood donation (first one ever) back in December and that got the old story cogs running for my next story.
Thanks to a scene I read in one of KA Applegate's
Everworld books, I got the idea to do an impromptu blood transfusion between two characters. I haven't decided who (although one has begged me not only to be on the receiving end but to kill them too; so they unknowningly gave me an idea to play with but dunno if I'll go that way yet)
Anyway, I need to start researching blood types to see what kinds are really really rare and see if memory serves right about O- being a universal donor (would like to be O- but ish O+)
