Let's examine what we know about LabTech X.
We first became aware of him when he was secretly selling what would turn out to be some sort of antidote to being bitten by a zombie. Drink it and you were made human again during the whole zombie mess back during the H2K4 event.
He later reappeared for a brief moment when the Von Helson sisters were holding the Anniversary ball in their now former mansion. He met up with the sisters and made some sort of exchange. Something about a package. (It happened in a thread. It could have almost been missed.)
He then disappeared between that time and what became known at the Grunny Invasion event. Bigger and scarier than before. He was the one responsibe for the grunnies' escape into the mansion where we had to deal with them.
From the H2K4 event, we can figure that he probably knew about the zombies before anyone else. This sort of makes him a bit of a hero, but, he was selling the vials and not just giving them away.
From meeting with the Von Helson sisters, we get the likelyhood of him being the sniper. Hired by the sisters, of course, to get rid of Gambino. And if we figure he was the first sniper, it's highly likely he's this more recent sniper.
Oh, also... him being Bucho doesn't exactly work out because we know Bucho launched the nuke on Gambino's Mansion to contain the original wave of zombies. X acted more covertly. I don't think he weilded the kind of power Gambino's head of Security did.
Now, my theory is this: LabTech X is definately connected to G-Corp. Not sure if he was a labtech actually working there or an outsider who knew how to get in. Either way he realized something wasn't right. At first, sure, he used it to his personal advantage and sold more or less a truckload of these mysterious vials of green liquid.
When he returned to take the job as a sniper for the sisters he had nothing against the task of shooting Gambino down. Certianally worth it if a couple of rich sisters are paying you.
A long time passed between the first appearance of the sniper and the Grunny Invasion. A lot of things could have happened to X. In any case, when he discovered what Labtech123, now Doctor 123, was doing in the newley reconstructed G-Corp lab, he lost it. (Partially because G-Corp is likely key to his problems and somebody screwing around in there again would cause a whole new set of problems)
Wait... er... his motives for shooting Ian. Damn, I haven't thought that one through.
Oh, I got it... it's pretty simple, really. X is the one responsible for the fire. He started it in the lab. And basing off my stated theory, he set the fire to destroy the lab, because he knows so many bad things come out of that lab. Might have even been an accident, but I imagine he wouldn't havve seen a need to put it out.
If Ian had been found guilty, then that would be it. Nobody'd be looking for X to take him in and he'd be more or less free to continue whatever it is he's doing.
As for shooting the now proclaimed innocent Ian, I think you're right about those pills being connected. Those pills, it is believed, are connected to the G-Virus in some way. This would connect them to G-Corp. Ian figured out something just by looking at that bottle and he was going to show the label on the bottle to Sasha(it was in her house, she should have at least noticed the thing at some time, but being a ditz, she never looked at the label)
So Ian does know something. He just hasn't said anything since he lost it because he'd me making an extrordinary claim, and that bottle was the extraordinary evidence. X knows Ian knows this something, so he shot Ian. Hmm... I'm not sure if that works. I'm missing a piece of information.
Or maybe he was pissed that Ian came out not-guilty, thus ruining his chances to be left alone.
X is a complicated character. Dangerous for sure. And likely crazy.
Sorry... I was just impressed by my own brain. u_u;; Wanted to save it before I simply lost the thread.
