Hear the waking of the black bell,
Oh what a story the black bell tells,
The story of how of haw to save a sole
From hells furry as sin takes its toll.


While people hurry into the steeple
All those innocent people,
The gears of the black bell whirls and hurls
The bell into the sky,
As fear lets out a vengeful cry the black bell tolls.

Terror will not take hold
In the night,
No more fear,
No more fright,
Because the black bell tolls to night.

The black bell is a bacon,
For angels to hold the innocent tight,
And weaken all those who bring fear into the night,
As the moon rises and the stars shine,
The black bell awakens to calm the night.

The lights of the candles flicker
as the black bell swings,
Ringing out a soulem tone for all the world to hear.

No one is quite sure why the black bell is there,
Maybe a warning to travelers who are not scared,
They must beware.
