Last night my grandpa said we would be getting up early to do grocery shopping. I got to my phone alarm clock and set it for 7 am. Like the idiot I am I forgot to activate the alarm clock after adjusting the time.

So around midnight I finally decide to go to bed. I have an air filter with a fan running on low as well as a desk fan running on high for air circulation. I was still too warm so I remove the camo blanket and just use the afghan. I was still too warm and couldn't sleep. Turning the fan up high for the air filter makes it so loud you can't sleep so I had to shut the filter off and open the window. I finally get to sleep around 5. 7 rolls around and I am still asleep. 8 rolls around and I am still asleep. 8:30 grandpa is tired of waiting for me so he just wants to leave without me. My sister finally wakes me up. I pretty much had 4 minutes notice to get ready and get out the door. I had to throw yesterdays clothes back on and bypass the shower. I decide to try and get some sleep on the way to Salem, but I can't because my grandpa wants to talk the whole way. He talks about how ******** up the government is, about how awesome his new truck is going to be, about how I need to get my license, about how I need to get a job, and various other things that make me want to stab people in the face.

The truck in particular really pisses me off. He purchased an 86 Ford Ranger from my aunt. It had been setting on the property for at least 10 years. The plan was he was going to get it fixed up so I can have it. For several months he keeps drilling into my mind that I was going to get a truck that it would be MY truck. He got my hopes up for this. I almost never get my hopes up about anything. He talks to his mechanic to actually start making payments and the mechanic says he already has an 86 ranger that he is willing to sell. We take a look at it and it's a very nice truck. They make the deal and he starts making payments. A few days later he tells me he decides he wants to keep the truck for himself instead. After getting my hopes up for getting a truck it all turns out to be a bunch of bullshit. He gets a truck and a car, my sister gets her car, and I only have my legs to get me from point a to point b. As if to rub salt in the wound every time he gets a chance to talk to me he talks about how awesome HIS truck will be. I don't even understand why he needs 2 cars. The reason he is keeping the truck is because it's a very nice truck and in very very good condition. First cars usually take the biggest beating and it would be terrible to see that happen to such a nice truck. I can understand that much, but it's still a d**k move. stare
