How in the world can you love someone who breaks your heart day after day?!
Who ignores you and acts as if you don't exist
Who says he wishes you would just go away
It's because you hope it's a joke
You're trying to hold on to the hope
That maybe, just maybe he might change
That he'll turn around and smile at you
Say "I love you too"
That's why you allow him
That's why you allow him to hurt you
Break you
Abuse you
The worst part is he doesn't even try to do those things
He ignores you, and your mind creates the pain
The pain that if not healed would drive you insane
You just hope
You want him to say he was just playing a joke
You want a smile
You want him to just stay for a while
So now you sit in your corner alone
Simply because he couldn't have shown
A speck of love, of kindness
Now the blade is to your skin
And all you can think about is him
