Random reading on the D-Link forums, deep in the DIR-665 section had me realize that Windows XP does recognize the WPA2 security feature.

Testing with the conveniently set up Linksys WRT300N router and the Linksys WUSB300N adapter (for which Dad managed to break twice and I repaired it both times), I changed the wireless security settings from unsecured (no security) to WPA2-PSK security mode with AES encryption. I was like 'If something does go wrong, I'll just use a wired connection to reverse the changes later.'

The D-Link DIR-665 router I own (main router; revision A2 hardware, firmware version 1.21NA) has its security settings as WPA-PSK with AES encryption. At some point, I will change this to WPA2.

*Interesting note: While I was writing this entry, my sis came in, thinking I was messing with the main router, which was the D-Link DIR-655. It was because her Yahoo! Messenger 9 window restarted out of the blue.*


Also, Dad is somewhat actively searching for a cheap performance keyboard. [This one is a WTF in itself.] Since the Juno-G is being serviced at the moment due to a very glitchy screen, I don't have a keyboard to practice on unless I take the older Casio keyboard... granted, I haven't actually practiced since last year... ninja

Apparently noticing a Roland JV-1000 for $250 would be a good thing.

Another note: I never heard of Flat Rock, MI. I've been here almost all of my life, and I only just heard of it today. lol
