a knife held steady
letting it slide
across pink scarred skin
letting the cut bleed
bleed black
slowly the light fades
from my vision
letting the life force
seep into the carpet
turning it a darker shade
falling into the bottomless
pit of the underworld
letting it capture me
swallow me
