So I just saw the film version. Quite screwed up, but also quite interesting.

I seem to be going on a bent for the experimental style literature/arts. House of Leaves, Wittgenstein's Mistress, now Naked Lunch...

That movie has so much deep down in it. Like the typewriters turned reporting agents, what are those? A symbol of how a tool turns into the end itself? One character states that he "can't do anything without a typewriter in the house" (despite the fact that one wrote in Arabic) while his wife writes free-hand. Has the means of expression become the end product and goal?

I can't fit in the beggining remark though. Writing versus re-writing. Betrayal versus protection. Argh, I'd watch it again, but I think my head would explode. It's worse than watchin the whole series of Serial Experiment Lain.

Madness has become a succor to the bereavment of the hounds, Forever they bark their torment to the empty sky, but what torments them? The madness is a succor, but in itself torments? Does the torment oothe, for the fact that it is a different torment? Is the chosen evil better than one unchosen?
