Has your relationship with Jesus transformed you into an extremely different person? Hopefully so! Otherwise, you're missing out on the joy and abundance that can be yours through Christ.
Think, for a moment, about the "old" you, the person you were before you invited Christ to reign over your heart. Now, think about the "new" you, the person you've become since then. Is there a difference between the "old" version of you and the "new-and-improved" version? There should be! And that difference should be evidence to you, to your family, and to your friends.
When you invited Christ to reign over your heart, you became a radically new creation. This day offers yet another opportunity to behave yourself like that new person. When you do, God will guide your steps and bless your endeavors...Forever.
Are you willing to make radical changes for Jesus? If so, you may be certain of this fact: He's standing at the door of your heart, patiently waiting to form an extreme, life-altering relationship with you.
Thoughts for today.
If your heart has grown cold, it is because you have moved away from the fire of His presence.
When the dream of our heart is one that God has planted there, a strange happiness flows into us. At that moment, all of the spiritual resources of the universe are released to help us. Our praying is then at one with the will of God and becomes a channel for the Creator's purpose for us and our world.
A tip for today.
Let Jesus make a real difference in your life: If you're trying to mold your relationship with Jesus into something that fits comfortably into your own schedule and your own personal theology, you may be headed for trouble. A far better strategy is this: Conform yourself to Jesus, not vice versa.
A prayer for today.
Dear Lord, the life that I live and the words that I speak bear testimony to my faith. Make me a faithful and passionate servant of your Son, and let my testimony be worthy of you. Let my words be sure and true, Lord, and let my actions point others to you. Amen.
A verse for today.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Romans 12:11 NIV
