After spending a bit of time with the Fayth, Ann and Auron made their way back to the edge of the ruins to a commsphere to call the Gullwings for pick up.
Back on the airship, Rikku ran to them upon boarding
Auron~What happened?
Rikku~Nothing happened!
She gave a nervous giggle.
Ann~Oh that's suspicious…Is that how I look when I'm in trouble?
Auron~Usually…What happened?
Rikku sighed.
Rikku~We uh…we have Leblanc on board too. And apparently she's never seen that Luca broadcast of you two. She's on a rampage.
Auron~Why didn't you tell us when we called?
Rikku~We're sorry! They were supposed to get off at Guadosalam before we got you guys but then Shinra was watching the sphere and…y'know…she saw it…
Ann~Where is she now?
Rikku~Still on the bridge.
Ann~Daddy, why don't you go sleep?
Auron~I want ALL of your weapons. You're not maiming anyone.
Ann~Can I keep one kunai?
Auron~No.
She rolled her eye but complied all the same. Ann handed him her bag, sword, holster, hip pouch, and a dozen other knives from various pockets and sleeves that she placed in her bag for him.
Rikku~Where do you put all of those?! WHY do you have that many?!
Auron~And the one in your shoes
Rikku~And your shoes?!
Ann~How do you know about that one?
Auron~Your mother and uncle both do it.
Ann groaned and tapped the heel of each shoe to pull out a small knife.
Ann~That's everything.
Auron~Good. Information first. No strikes of any kind. Make sure to emphasize I'm married and unavailable. I don't want her doing a reverse grope on me again.
The two shuddered.
Rikku~What do you mean reverse grope?
Ann~I guess you didn't see it. Just before I threw that cu–
Auron~Try again.
Ann~Before I threw that bimbo into the water, she leaned into him and made him touch her stomach.
Rikku~You saw that?
Ann~Like I said, analyzing never turns off. Neither does observing.
Auron~Remember the locket, dear. Use it if she needs to see a family picture. Take a nap when you're done playing.
He went to the elevator to go to the cabin without waiting for a response. Ann and Rikku sighed. Then Ann spoke with a smile
Ann~Time to murder a b***h.
Rikku~But Auron said–!
Ann~I know what he said. I'm not gonna do that. I say it to scare my friends
Rikku~That isn't nice, Ann
Ann~I'm not nice
She looked at her confused, but Ann was already making her way down the hall.

Ann~Hey, Le-b***h! Why are you still horn dogging Auron?! Quit being a homewrecker!
Yuna and Rikku turned a bright red. The rest of room was flustered
Leblanc~You little hustler! What kind of magic did you put on Auron?! There's no reason for him to be wrapped around your finger!
Ann hopped over the railing and got in her face. YRP and Leblanc's goons stood nearby to intervene in case anything happened
Brother~If you two are gonna fight, it isn't gonna be in here!
Ann~I already promised daddy I won't throw hands
Leblanc~There you go throwing that around again. He isn't even here to please
The Gullwings all recoiled. Ann face palmed
Ann~You ******** perv.
Paine~That's gross. She really needs to know.
Leblenc scoffed, incredulous
Leblanc~I'm the perv?
Logos~What do you mean she needs to know?
Shinra~They don't know?
Yuna~I tried to tell them back in Bevelle.
Ormi~Tell us what?
Ann~Auron is my father, you dimwits. My biological father.
The syndicate looked at her, horrified.
Ann~Exactly how old do you think I was?
Leblanc~How old ARE you?!
Ann~Younger than you think.
Leblanc heaved
Leblanc~I was flirting with a man in front of his child?!
Ann~I can make it worse
Yuna~Please don't…
Paine~Please do
Syndicate~Please don't!
Ann~Daddy is married. And unsent. And so you're not left wondering, I was conceived before he died.
Leblanc~He's also a widower?!
Ann~My mother's dead too so, y'know
She shrugged nonchalantly. Leblanc wavered a little, and Logos steadied her while Ormi grabbed her a chair.
Ann~Are you gonna back off? Or will I need to throw you off the airship?
Leblanc~He's all yours kid…I…He's yours…
She was staring blankly
Ormi~Boss? Are you gonna be okay?
Leblanc~I don't know
Rikku~I think you broke her, Ann
Ann~At least it's only one person I've broken so far here. Maybe two.
Paine~Who else did you break?
Ann~A Youth League recruit back at Mi'ihen. He thought he was tough s**t. I handed him his a**.
Yuna~Won't Auron get upset that you're swearing?
Ann~Only if someone tells him. You won't do that, right, Yunie?
Yuna~I…I can't lie to him either…
Ann~I'm not asking you to. I'm asking you to not say anything.
She smiled sweetly at her.
Buddy~Why is she good at manipulation?
Ann~If I told you, I'd need to kill you.
He paled and Ann laughed.
Rikku~If I didn't see you hand over all your knives and crap to Auron I would've been terrified. I still am though!
Shinra~I'd love to study your strength output.
Ann~That sounds fun. I'd like to help if you have a machine for it.
Leblanc~She has had three instances to kill me and she chose to not do it each time?
Brother~[Maybe it's time for her to go to] Auron?
Ann~What did Brother ask about dad?
Rikku responded quickly
Rikku~He asked if you wanted to go to him! Y-you already took care of Leblanc. And we don’t have anything going on right now. Why not take your nap?
Logos~She's young enough to still take naps?
Ormi~She knocked us over and threw Boss.
Leblanc~How am I not dead?
Ann~I don't NEED naps. It just fills down time. Knocking people over is easy, and she isn't difficult to pick up. You on the other hand…
She gave Ormi a look
Ann~Anyways, I was also given the rule of nothing lethal.
Paine~You still had to be commanded for that?
Buddy~What do you mean ‘commanded?’ Is she a soldier?
Ann~It's complicated.
She gave him a sweet smile too.
Brother~Does it deal with the scar? [No one has said how she got it.]
Rikku~[It does, and that's all I can say. Her dad will set her loose to destroy all of] Spira [if we keep talking about it!]
Ann~What will I do to Spira?
Rikku~Nothing! So about that nap?
Ann~But I'm not done playing…
Buddy~How are death threats considered playing?!
Shinra~Can she really do that?
Ann~Do what?
Rikku squeaked and looked to Yuna and Paine for help.
Paine~Uhhh do you like weapons?
Ann~Of course I do!
Rikku hissed~We shouldn't be arming her!
Paine~I don't see what else we can do besides spar
Yuna~Have you ever handled firearms before?
Ann~Are those the shooty thingies?
Rikku~You weren’t afraid to get shot at because you don't know what a gun is?!
Ann~Is that bad?
Rikku sat on the ground, a blank stare that matched Leblanc's on her own face.
Ann~Oops…did I break Rikku?
Brother~I think she should lay down…
Ann~Yeah…Barkeep has water too, right?
Yuna~He does. Buddy, can you–
Ann had already picked up Rikku over her shoulder and started for the hallway to the elevator.
Buddy~Didn’t you say she was able to drag the three of you around?
Paine and Yuna~We did…
They quickly followed Ann before she disappeared
Leblanc~I should be dead already…but because someone told her she couldn't is the only reason why I'm not…

Auron~Ann?
Ann~Hi daddy.
Auron~Done already? Did you set the blonde straight?
He came down the stairs without his coat. Ann giggled
Ann sarcastically~Oh no, your shoulders are exposed. How scandalous. Make sure you cover up before you go out.
Paine and Yuna quietly giggled. It was a little unusual to see him without his signature coat, but Ann's teasing was just ridiculous
Auron~Shut it, brat. What happened to Rikku?
Ann~Oh, uh…I may have over done it with my antics…
Yuna~You should lay her down here
She directed Ann to the sofa where she set Rikku down. Rikku stared blankly at the ceiling, mumbling about Ann's lack of firearm knowledge being the sole reason for her lack of fear of being shot at back at Kilika.
Auron~Do I want to know?
Ann~Not really.
To him, that meant she was trying to hide that she disobeyed something.
Auron~Yuna? Paine?
Paine~She was going over the top with theatrics
Yuna quietly nodded along. Auron quietly looked at the two, then held eye contact with the ex-summoner.
Ann~Don't break, don’t break, don't break…
Yuna~Uhhh we tried to contain Ann and she accidentally shocked Rikku?
Auron~Continue.
Yuna~She was surprised that Ann didn't know what a gun was and that's why she wasn't afraid of being shot?
Auron~Anything else?
He kept eye contact. When Ann tried signaling Yuna to say no, he saw Yuna's eyes shift towards her. When he turned to Ann was when the ex-summoner spoke
Yuna~No, nothing else!
Auron~Hmm…Alright. Ann, if I find out you did anything, you know the consequences.
Ann~But I don't like book work…
Auron~Then you have nothing to worry about if there's nothing to hide, dear.
His eye narrowed at her, and her smile faltered a little.
Ann~O-of course, daddy. Nothing to hide.
Auron~Make sure you get some rest soon.
He started to head back upstairs but paused when he was next to Ann.
Auron~And Yuna, don't let Ann strong arm you into covering for her. I know she likes to run her mouth when I'm not around.
He gave her a firm smack to the head before making his way upstairs.
Yuna quietly~I think he knew.
Ann~He definitely knew
She rubbed her head with a smile

A while later, Leblanc came into the cabin. Auron was at the bar sipping a drink while Ann was sitting on the ledge above, looking down and eating a pastry.
Leblanc~Sir Auron?
Auron's brow furrowed, but he still hummed in acknowledgement.
Leblanc~I wanted to apologize for my actions. It was over the top and wasn't respectful to you or your kid.
He raised a brow in suspicion and studied her for a moment. Ann would've reacted already if she thought the blonde wasn't sincere. And there was a great deal of shame in the way she was holding herself already.
Auron~I accept your apology.
The blonde gave him a look.
Leblanc~Th-that's it? No punishment or grand speech?
Auron~You were sincere enough.
He pointed up towards Ann.
Auron~You didn't put on a show either.
Leblanc~H-has she been there this whole time?
Ann~I have. I accept the apology.
Ann flicked a crumb in her direction.
Ann~If you revert back, I won't hesitate to do something about it.
Leblanc~R-right…I'm gonna go now. We're supposed to be landing soon.
Ann~Oh? Where?
Leblanc~Guadosalam. We're getting some things then we're going to Besaid.
Ann~Fun!
Leblanc~You really are just a kid…
Ann~I'm thirteen. I'm not that young.
Auron~Come down now, dear. You still need to have dinner.
Ann~Yes, dad.
She hopped down and calmly passed Leblanc.
Leblanc~This is…weird…
Ann~You’re not throwing yourself against him. I don't have a reason to throw you. Can I have a sip, daddy?
Auron gave her a smack on the head. She rubbed the spot.
Auron~No. Don't ask again. Don't think about sneaking any.
Leblanc~They really are father and daughter…Hey, why did you call him by his name on our first encounter?
Ann~Huh? Oh. Situational.
The teen took the sandwich plate that Barkeep placed near Auron.
Leblac~Right…Are you two joining to check out the temple?
Auron~What's going on with the temples?
Leblanc~They had fiends coming out of them. And there's holes where the Fayths used to be. The girls are going cave diving.
Ann~The statues were destroyed? But…they were people once…
Leblanc~You're an interesting one. I didn’t expect a lot of compassion from your death threats earlier…
Ann~I wish you hadn't said that…
The blonde made a confused noise. Auron had taken Ann's plate and punched her down.
Auron~We talked about that. You're drawing the musculature system before bed.
Ann groaned~Nooo…Okay, dad.
Leblanc~Even if he reciprocated there's absolutely no way I could keep up with her…
