LIKES : Learning new things ( for science! ), swimming ( feels like he’s weightless ), food ( when he remembers to eat ), natural beauty (nature, not pretty faces.... though there might be some overlap someday in the future)
DISLIKES : Gravity ( makes him crash to the ground when ever he stumbles ), boredom, being caught doing something stupid, not being in control of his own body, not knowing what to do, very awkward situations/ "inappropriate content" (doesn't mind off color jokes, but shove anything like a written sex scene in front of his face and he'll turn redder than a ripe tomato)
LOOKS : Blink is what would be considered slightly below average height for boys, but at the same larger than the average for girls, a middling range. With a thin frame and lean muscles, he’s not quite a bag-of-bones, but sometimes with his habit of forgetting to eat he comes mighty close. Then there is the carotene hair, a few of the tips of this mess of orange almost reaching his shoulders with spikes and flips abound. Framed by this hair is a thin face, and pale gray eyes that can range anywhere from kind to creepy.
PERSONALITY : As a result of what he’s been through, a few of Blink’s habits could be considered a bit different from others. When distracted, he has a tendency to run into things, and he can forget to eat, sometimes resulting uncharacteristic weakness. A slight stutter also appears when he is under stress or experiencing an intense emotion. Another habit was to wander and observe different goings on when bored, something that he still does from time to time. He is doing his best to adjust back to normal life, and though it has been a long and frustrating process, his willingness to learn is doing much to help him out. Overall, unless severely pushed, Blink is a non-confrontational type, mainly as a way of self preservation, along with an aversion to making enemies. Social contact had been very hard for Blink to come by, so he values any friendships deeply, even if it is for selfish reasons. Additionally, Blink has developed a strange curiosity about the world around him.
Underneath it all he has many doubts and fears (perhaps even a bit of insanity lurking very deep down....), but he does his best to keep it hidden.
HISTORY : During his childhood, Blink's life at home wasn't quite picture perfect. He was an only child, and had never known his mother. Also, though he was taken care of, his scientist father was so absorbed in his work that Blink rarely got any personal attention. It was a sparse existence, but Blink cherished what he had, such as the times his father let him help out, and favorite classes at school. Unfortunately, even these small times of happiness couldn't last. One day while helping his father, an experimental combination had disastrous results. This accident killed the father, and Blink was sent into a coma. At the time, it was unknown if he would ever be able to wake up.
Almost a year later, at the age of 16, Blink finally came to. Unable to walk and barely able to speak (along with some strange memories....), he began the long and difficult road of picking up the pieces of his previous life. He retained his previous home in Durem by inheritance, but any other money had to be used for hospital visits and rehabilitation, and it was gone by the time he was able to go home. Blink then picked up a job at the local bookstore to pay the bills, and because he had missed so much of high school, he began to work towards a GED instead. Today, Blink is still working toward recovery, and doing the best to make the most of his future.
