The Old Center was once vibrant and the safest place of all, but after the rise in taxes and the New Center it was turned into a slum. Skyrises and condos began to sprout dotting the New Center's skyline leaving the Old Center in a shadow. The individuals who desided to stay faced a new threat - disease and illness.
The diseases and illnesses were brought by others via the train station. Very few brave souls who dare ride the trains usually come down with meningitis and/or possibly hepatitis B.
People of the Old Center suffer greatly and the New Center wants nothing to do with them. They have set up barracades so anyone from the Old Center would have to be checked before entering. This way people wouldn't get sick and those found with a disease or illness are usually sent back to the Old Center no questions asked.
