I've come up with my own type of poetry called Free Line. It's called that beacuse, well, it runs like a paragraph, each 'line' beginning at a new capitalized word, and, at the and, is a period.
Pressured
I feel So pressured To be normal Just one of the crowd To fit in To a line On a sheet of paper To be the same size And shape And substance As everyone else So pressured To stand out Like a bubble On a calm lake Like a long line of poetry wrapping around the page In a short poem So pressured To just be myself To be silly and wild and free So pressured To hide my true emotions To act like everything's okay So pressured To live for myself To not care of others So pressured To take care of everyone else And not worry about me So pressured By myself.
Language Arts Homework
My poetry Which squeezes between lines Has had enough Of revision Of painful erasings That smear Stains of emotions Tired of Rythm And rhyme Tired Of being poured out of me Like clockwork So it jumps Out of the page And into the sunset To refill my inspiration Into my heart To refill my creativity Into the clock And time flies by And into the rules To shatter them.
The Flow
The flow Of the stream Shimmers off the page And into my eyes The flow Of the Moon Glows a bright blue Transmitting a message of peace The flow Of my pen Records remnants Of moments Too shared To be forgotten.
