story:

Darkness takes it's toll upon every heart. In the town of Landom, mysterious things are starting to happen. At first, it was just a few cows being found dead in the field, showing that the creatures had no intrest in the humans of this town. And to make sure it stayed that way, many offered there cows at night, leaving them to find them drained of all blood in the morning. For years it continued like this, until the town elder's daughter had a daughter of her own. That night, the town was silent, having put out their cows and other animals and gone to bed. But for some unknown reason...one of the creatures found their way to the home of the Renar's, and saw the child. The creatures red eyes held a cold stare, watching the babe lay in her wooden crib with a glow about her. She was perfect....and he knew it. And so, the creature made himself known to the family. He stepped out from the shadows, to the horror of the Renars, to reveal a human like man, save the paleness of his skin, and his long fangs when he smiled his cruel smile.
"I want her..." His cruel voice commanded, his gaze remaining upong the child. "I want her as my own. As my slave. I want her to become a vampyre at the age of eighteen. Become my queen."
The family found horror in this, knowing the creatures they fed now were the very own family of Lord Devian, the last remaining, and youngest, grandson of dracula. The last of the family. The very King of the vampyres. His request was denied quickly. They would not give up the baby. Lord Devian grew....quite angry. But he did not attack. Instead, he gave a cruel smile.
"Then you shall be cursed." he sneered, smiling his wicked cold smile. "Every night you refuse me, another child her age is killed. That will double with her own age. Until there are no more. You will give her to me!"
"Please!" The mother begged, going to her knees at his feet. "Please, there must be another way! Another compromise! Please!"
He looked down upon her, emotionless face set cold as stone. There he thought silently for quite some time. "As you wish...." he sneered, grabbing the woman up. With one quick lunge, he tore into the womans throat, to the horror of her husband and father. Her flesh was tender, and her blood was sweet. He drained to her last drop. The father, stricken with grief, ran with sword raised, as the father ran to the crib to try to save the child. With a simple swipe of his hand, the father was lifted, pressed against the wall from an unseen force. The elderly man, the grandfather of the babe, was silenced with a quick snap of his neck. Tossing aside the body, Lord Devian moved to the father, giving a smile at the mans determination to save his child, as he was still struggling.
"You are strong." he admitted. "To protect your child will take much of that. But you cannot from me. On her 18th birthday, I will come. I will take her that night with me, and she shall then forever live with my family. And you...."
Devian quickly bit into his flesh, drinking madly at the crimson liquid, his grip quite tight upon the father. But just when the man had givin up hope, Devian stopped, watching him slide to the floor at the brink of death. There, he knealt, giving a cold laugh.
"I have given you mere minutes to live. Say goodbye to your daughter...."
And with that, Lord Devian left, honoring his new...compromise.

Since that night, the humans have fallen pray to the vampyres, and one by one, fell into fear that their family would be next. The child was taken into another home, where she was raised with a 'brother'. She knew nothing of her old family, only this one. And so our story begins...
