Ne, can you tell? I have a secret that my heart once held.

Eight years ago I saw you there and that was the place I made a dare.
"Should I help him or should I not?" that was the question that I got.

So, without my knowing, I walked to you and said," You look good, don't ever change." Little did I know your kindness grabbed my heart in such a short range.

Now here I am, some years later, a child who knows things much greater.

I sit here and think to myself," Why did I put my heart locked up on this very shelf?"

I now know why and I must say," A love so young never does stay."
