My Heart
Why does love have to hurt so bad
It took all the care I ever had
When my heart breaks, it's like glass
Fragile and breakable, it's done so fast
One word, could break it apart
But, why does it have to be my heart
Once it shatters, it can't be undone or fixed
All I hear are it's quiet "ticks"
One beat at a time, it's like the monotony of a clock
Nothing can help my heart, out of its shock
But then, you come wih much love to comfort me
You and I saw something, no one else can see
You see me trying to hide
So you come to me and stay by my side
My heart continues to break
I feel myself beginning to shake
I don't know if my heart will heal
Then, you wrap my your ams around me and hold me tight
My heart begins to feel so light
I feel more whole, my heart won't tear
All because you were right there.
