I Don't Need You
I've been stubborn and blind
For the things I should've left behind
I don't need a guy to tell me the things
I wanted to hear
Or to change myself, in a senseless attempt
To let my "would be self" appear
I'm glad I got over all this
Because the only thing I miss
Was the person I thought you were
And those words are for sure
I'm proud of who I am
No matter what you say or think
I hope these words I say in your mind will sink
I don't need you, I don't need you ever.
