don't forget

The world swallows its short-term memory,
holding a breath in its weary chest.
Light balances on limbs of evening,
while the sun yawns in the west.

Two pairs of feet, four times the noise,
as lovers follow their whims of excite,
burrowing deep to the heart of the wood,
porcelain skin glowing in misted night.

Twigs surrender to their eager steps,
crunching along with a love so young.
Certain of their cool, brisk destination,
in the mouth of country: a reflective tongue.

A smiling lake soon licks their ankles,
with the face of a bone white moon.
Nothing ends nor begins, they simply slip,
feet first -- into the head of a spoon.

Floating in a seemingly seamless world,
the horizon aligned with their backs,
Undressing the sky with conversation,
in starlit eyes, they catch the slack.

Affection unspoken and perfectly felt,
shared atop liquid clouds next each other.
Each knowing full well the taste of forever,
rests in the mouth of the other.





Love...... its almost indescribable, but if I had to say something about it, I'd say this: When you fall in love, you see your life in a blink of an eye. from your first date, to marriage, your first house together, and even kids and growing old together. You know how it feels to need someone in your life so much that you would sacrifice everything for them. Love is a rare thing, but once you feel it, you'll never be the same again. It doesn't come at any particular age either. You can be young or old, big or small. Its all a part of who you are and those in your life. You might ask me how I know this about love....... because I am in love.... <3
