April Showers
My earrings tinkle. Rain. Hit the ground.
Pleasant sounds.
My heart stutters, gurgles. Rain. Consistent, calming.
Ragged breathing.
My eyes clouding like the sky. Rain. Overcast heavens.
Body forsaken.
My soul flies. Rain. April’s life-giving rain.
No more pain.
My blood, vibrant against the grey. The rain is laughing.
I am glad to give my sad month mirth by dying on the day of my birth.
