Alone
I used to be alone
With no one to phone
I had all the money
Yet it still wasn't sunny
I was left home alone
With not even an ice cream cone
I hid behind the couch
Not being a grouch
When they came home
I go and roam
They would give me a hug
Then I would sit on the rug
Dad's smile was fake
His face straight as a rake
I would get pretty things
He thought I would be happy to have rings
I had frilly dresses
I never wore them because I made messes
So at school I put on a smile
It wore away after a while
It was hard to make friends
I even wore the lastest trends
I wasn't lonely because I had my Barbies
They wern't good for long so I had parties
I kept on my fake smile
And made friends after a while
Now I am happy
This may sound sappy
I have friends until the end
So I'll have happiness till the end
I don't have to fake smile
And thats all the while!!!!
