After seeing it in the bookstore multiple times, I pulled this book off the bookshelf on accident while at the library and decided to give it a read. I had previous finished Kiss by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy which was actually good. I had high hopes that Wayne would turn out to be something other then the run of the mill bad guy (I was wrong). I actually had no idea it was a Christian novel, if I had known I probably would have never picked it up. It just felt like the message was something the characters clung to, not something it was trying to drive into your thought process. Obviously there was a lot of things that could have been changed, the point of view for one and the seemingly random driving motivations behind the bad guys (presidency, child trafficking, illegal drugs... WTF!??!) but it was a quick easy read.
Although I am really liking The Witch of Cologne. It is sometimes a little difficult to get into due to the strange German politics but that is the world it is set in and I really enjoy it so far.
