The rain won't stop pouring down,
Just keeps pounding my face.
The slight pat pat on the ground,
Steadily falling at its own pace.
I look around me, and passing by
Is only happy smiles
And they're perfectly dry.
While I'm drowning in wet piles.
Why can't I laugh?
I try, but it's fake.
Why can't I have
A smile that won't break?
And why isn't it raining on them?
The rain cloud is only over my head.
And not even a stem
Of a flower is growing, it's dead.
Then, suddenly, you walk in,
Can't even explain how I feel.
A rainbow of colors forms within,
And I smile, this time, it's real.
Your arms around my waist,
Mine around yours, too.
This happiness has such a sweet taste
As I lean in close and whisper, "I love you."
